Christmas of Yore was originally a project of discovery. The idea was to study Christmas music dating from the years 1000 AD to 2000 AD. As Michael became more interested in what he was studying he began to record his findings. Over the course of 2 years, this CD was born.

Christmas of Yore is scored for harpsichord, string quintet, woodwind quartet, solo flute, 2 voices, guitar synthesizer and classical guitar. It is beautiful, straight forward, articulate, and written in a chamber style.
